Description

The Cisco 8100 Series C8151-G2 is a fanless, compact secure edge router designed for small branch sites. It combines hardware-accelerated routing and security with SD-WAN capability, and suits point-of-sale connectivity, small branch workers, remote workers, IoT and quick-deploy temporary or mobile sites.

This SKU provides 10 x 1GE ports, made up of 2 x 1GE RJ-45/SFP combo WAN ports, 2 x GE RJ-45 flex ports and 6 x 1GE RJ-45 LAN ports, plus a pluggable interface module (PIM) slot for optional LTE or 5G. It delivers 5.6 Gbps forwarding, 1.5 Gbps IPsec and 900 Mbps SD-WAN throughput (512B), with 1 Gbps threat protection throughput (EMIX). It has no PoE output and runs from a 66W external power supply, drawing 23W typically. SD-WAN operation requires IOS XE 17.18.1 and management through Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager 20.18.1 or later.

The PIM slot accepts the P-5GS6-R16SA-GL 5G Sub-6 GHz module and the P-LTEA7-NA, P-LTEA7-EAL and P-LTEA7-JP CAT7 LTE-A modules. The two combo WAN ports accept SFP optics. Mounting options include rackmount, desktop, under desk and DIN-rail or wall mount.
