Description

The ISR 3945E UC+SEC bundle is a Cisco 3900 Series Integrated Services Router (ISR G2) package for branch offices that want routing, voice, security and locally hosted applications in a single chassis. It pairs the modular 3945E router with a Services-Ready Engine blade, a PVDM3-64 voice DSP module and the UC and SEC licence PAKs.

The service module is either an SRE 900 or SRE 910 in the Service Module form factor. It runs on an Intel Core2 Duo 1.86 GHz processor with 4 GB DRAM as standard, expandable to 8 GB. Storage is two hot-swappable 500-GB SATA drives, giving 1 TB in non-RAID mode, with RAID 0 or 1 available depending on the application. The SRE connects to the router backplane over an internal Gigabit Ethernet link and also provides one USB connector and one RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet port. The PVDM3-64 adds on-board DSP resources for voice and video, and the UC and SEC licence PAKs enable the Unified Communications and Security feature sets. SRE application licences such as WAAS or UCS Express are separate.

A 3945E chassis accepts up to four SRE 900 or SRE 910 service modules. These modules are also supported on Cisco 2911, 2921, 2951, 3925, 3925E and 3945 ISRs.
