Description

The ISR 3945 is a second-generation Cisco Integrated Services Router bundle built for branch offices that need WAN routing, voice, security and on-router application hosting in a single platform. This bundle pairs the router with a Services-Ready Engine service module and a voice DSP module, so it suits sites running unified communications alongside local virtualised services.

The bundle includes an SRE 900 or SRE 910 service module, a PVDM3-64 voice DSP module and the Unified Communications (UC) and Security (SEC) software licence PAKs. The SRE module has an Intel Core2 Duo 1.86 GHz processor, 4 GB DRAM as standard (8 GB supported), a 2 GB internal USB flash module and two hot-swappable 500 GB SATA drives, giving 1 TB in non-RAID mode. RAID 0 or 1 is supported, depending on the application. The SRE 900 uses 5400 rpm drives and the SRE 910 uses 7200 rpm drives.

SRE 900/910 modules are supported on Cisco 2911, 2921, 2951, 3925, 3925E, 3945 and 3945E ISR G2 routers, and require Cisco IOS Release 15.1(4)M or later. A Cisco 3945 chassis accepts up to four SRE 700/710/900/910 service modules.
