Description

The Cisco 3945 is a Cisco 3900 Series Integrated Services Router (ISR G2) supplied as a secure voice bundle. It suits branch and regional sites that need a voice gateway, SIP trunking with session border control, and encrypted voice, with voice and video conferencing and transcoding handled by onboard DSPs.

This bundle pairs the C3900-SPE150/K9 Services Performance Engine with a PVDM3-64 64-channel DSP module, the Unified Communications and Security (SEC) licence PAK, and the FL-CUBEE-25 licence for 25 Cisco Unified Border Element sessions. The chassis provides 3 onboard 10/100/1000 WAN/LAN ports, with SFP support on two of them, 4 EHWIC slots, 4 onboard PVDM3 DSP slots, 4 service-module slots and 1 ISM slot. It supports up to 1200 Cisco Unified SRST sessions and includes embedded hardware IPsec and SSL crypto acceleration. Memory defaults to 1 GB DRAM (2 GB maximum) with 256 MB external Compact Flash (4 GB maximum per slot).

The router is 3RU and rack-mountable in 19 inch EIA or 23 inch racks, with an internal AC supply and PoE and DC options on the 3945 platform. It runs Cisco IOS with the IP Base image, and the included licence PAK activates the UC and SEC feature sets. Additional CUBE sessions are available as stackable licences.
