Description

This bundle pairs a Cisco 2951 Integrated Services Router from the 2900 Series ISR G2 family with a Services-Ready Engine (SRE 900 or SRE 910) service module, the Security (Sec) licence PAK and a WAAS Enterprise Large licence. It is aimed at branch-office deployments that need routing, integrated security and WAN optimisation on a single platform with an x86 service module.

The SRE 900/910 connects to the router over an internal Gigabit Ethernet link and runs branch applications independently of the router's own routing resources. Processor options are Intel Core2 Solo or Core2 Duo at 1.86 GHz, with 4 GB of DRAM as standard and 8 GB available, plus a 2 GB internal USB flash module. Disks are hot-swappable and field-replaceable, support RAID 1 and reach up to 1 TB, and the module draws up to 50 W at maximum.

The Sec PAK provides the Cisco IOS Security feature set licence, activated through Cisco Software Licensing (PAK). The WAAS Enterprise Large licence covers WAN optimisation and application acceleration. The 2951 accepts up to 2 SRE 700/710/900/910 service modules, or 3 SRE modules in total when one SRE 300 ISM is fitted.
