Description

The Cisco 2951 Integrated Services Router from the Cisco 2900 Series (ISR G2) is a voice bundle for branch offices and small-to-medium sites that need local call control and survivability for IP phones. It pairs the 2951 chassis with a PVDM3-32 voice DSP module and 25-seat Cisco Unified CME/SRST licensing, so a site can keep its phones working if the WAN link to the central call manager is lost.

The chassis provides 3 onboard 10/100/1000 GE ports, one of which supports SFP in place of RJ-45 for fibre connectivity. Expansion is through 4 EHWIC slots (2 double-wide), 3 onboard PVDM3 DSP slots, 1 ISM slot and service module slots that accept double-wide SM-D modules. It ships with 512 MB DDR2 ECC DRAM (2 GB maximum) and 256 MB external Compact Flash (4 GB maximum), with 2 external USB 2.0 Type A ports. Licensing covers the IP Base image with Security (SEC) and Unified Communications (UC) licence PAKs plus FL-CME-SRST-25.

Power is a 100 to 240 VAC autoranging supply at 47 to 63 Hz, drawing 70 W typical with no modules and up to 340 W maximum. AC+PoE and DC power supply options exist across the platform, and the 2RU rackmount chassis is designed for NEBS environments.
