Description

The C2911-UCSE-K9 pairs a Cisco 2911 Integrated Services Router from the 2900 Series ISR G2 range with an x86 service module, so branch offices can host applications and virtual machines inside the router chassis. It suits multisite organisations with centralised IT that need to run services locally for performance, availability or compliance reasons.

This bundle is configured with an SRE 900 or SRE 910 service module, an SRE-V virtualisation licence, 2.5 GB of ISR DRAM and 768 MB of Compact Flash, with Cisco IMC Express blade management included. The SRE-V licence is based on the VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi), allowing multiple virtual instances of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux to run on the dedicated x86 blade. The SRE 900/910 module uses a dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86 GHz CPU with 4 GB of DRAM and three Gigabit Ethernet ports.

Cisco UCS Express on the 2911 requires Cisco IOS Software Release 15.1(4)M. The Multigigabit Fabric backplane in the ISR G2 chassis links the service module to the router.
