Description

The ISR 2911 is a second-generation Cisco Integrated Services Router built for small and midsize branch offices that need secure WAN connectivity and an on-site IP PBX in one 2RU chassis. This voice bundle is set up for Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CME) and Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), so branch telephony can keep running if the link to a central Unified Communications Manager fails.

The router provides three onboard 10/100/1000 RJ-45 ports, four EHWIC slots (two of which are double-wide capable), one service module slot, one ISM slot and two onboard PVDM3 DSP slots for voice and video gateway functions. It supports up to 50 CME sessions or 50 SRST sessions. Default memory is 512 MB DDR2 ECC DRAM, expandable to 2 GB, with 256 MB of external Compact Flash expandable to 4 GB per slot. Embedded hardware-based cryptography acceleration is included, and Cisco IOS feature licences are required for the technology packages in use.

The chassis accepts EHWIC, HWIC, WIC, VIC and VWIC interface cards, along with PVDM3, service module and ISM modules. The internal AC supply covers 100 to 240 VAC, with optional PoE, DC and DC-PoE supplies and support for the external Cisco RPS 2300 for redundancy.
