Description

The Cisco ISR 2901 Voice and Security Bundle is a pre-configured Cisco 2900 Series ISR G2 router for small branch and remote sites that need integrated voice alongside secure WAN and VPN connectivity. It is built on the 2901 chassis and adds a PVDM3-16 voice DSP module with the Unified Communications and Security technology-package licence PAKs.

The router has two onboard 10/100/1000 RJ-45 WAN ports, four EHWIC slots (two of which are double-wide), two onboard DSP (PVDM) slots and one ISM slot. It has no service module slots. Default memory is 512 MB DDR2 ECC DRAM, upgradable to 2 GB. Embedded hardware-based crypto acceleration supports VPN and security services, and concurrent services performance reaches up to 75 Mbps. For voice, it supports 35 Cisco Unified SRST sessions or 35 CCME sessions.

The bundle runs the single Cisco IOS Universal image, with the UC and SEC technology packages activated through the included licence PAKs on top of the default IP Base. The router accepts EHWIC WAN and LAN interface cards, PVDM3 DSP modules and ISM modules such as the Services-Ready Engine.
