Description

The Cisco 1100 Series Terminal Services Gateway is a 1RU terminal server and router running Cisco IOS XE. It gives secure remote console access to network, compute and IoT devices through 32 onboard RS-232 async ports, making it well suited to data-centre and cloud-provider out-of-band management and to secure access to equipment behind a firewall.

This C1100TG-1N32A model has 32 async ports at up to 230 Kbps each, two 10/100/1000 WAN ports (RJ45 or SFP) and one NIM slot with online insertion and removal. An optional 16-port async daughter card takes it to 48 ports, and with a NIM-16A or NIM-24A it scales to 72 async ports. It does not include the 24-port Layer 2 switch found on the C1100TG-1N24P32A. It has 2 GB DDR4 DRAM, 4 GB flash, and delivers 500 Mbps aggregate throughput with CEF and 100 Mbps with IPsec. It ships with the IP Base technology package on the universal IOS XE image, with optional Application Experience and Security licences available.

Supported NIMs include NIM-ES2-4, NIM-ES2-8, NIM-LTEA-EA, NIM-LTEA-LA, NIM-16A, NIM-24A, NIM-1T, NIM-2T and NIM-4T. The optional C1100TG-16A async module and CAB-ASYNC-8 cable are also supported. Power is supplied by an internal AC or DC supply, with an optional external AC supply for redundancy.
