Description

The Cisco 1100 Terminal Services Gateway is a 1RU console server for secure out-of-band access to routers, switches, servers and IoT devices. It suits data centres and remote sites, and lets service providers reach equipment that sits behind a firewall. It runs Cisco IOS XE and authenticates remote users through RADIUS or TACACS+.

This SKU combines 32 onboard RS-232 async ports, rated up to 230.4 Kbps per port, with a 24-port 10/100/1000 RJ-45 Layer 2 switch. It also provides 2 GE WAN ports (RJ-45 or SFP combo) and one NIM slot. Aggregate throughput is 500 Mbps with CEF and 100 Mbps with IPsec. The fixed memory is 4 GB DDR4 DRAM and 4 GB flash. An optional 16-port async daughter card, together with a NIM-24A, takes the total to 72 async ports.

The NIM slot accepts NIM-16A and NIM-24A async modules, NIM-ES2-4 and NIM-ES2-8 Ethernet modules, NIM-LTEA-EA and NIM-LTEA-LA LTE modules, and NIM-1T, NIM-2T and NIM-4T serial modules. The unit runs a single universal IOS XE image with IP Base by default, and Smart Licensing is supported.

A: It runs a single universal Cisco IOS XE image with IP Base included by default. Optional right-to-use licences are SL-1100TG-APP-K9 for Application Experience and SL-1100TG-SEC-K9 for Security. Smart Licensing is supported and a Smart Account is required when ordering.
