Description

The ASR 1013 is a 13RU modular chassis from the Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers, running Cisco IOS XE. It is built for enterprise WAN edge, data centre and large office edge aggregation, data centre interconnect, branch aggregation and service provider POPs, and is a common step when migrating from the 7200 Series.

The chassis provides 2 ESP slots and 2 route processor slots, so route processors, ESPs and power supplies can all be deployed redundantly. Six SIP or Ethernet line card slots give 24 SPA slots or 12 EPA slots, and ESP bandwidth scales from 40 to 200 Gbps depending on the ESP fitted. It uses redundant quad power supplies in AC or DC, with AC and DC not mixed in one chassis, and front-to-back airflow.

It works with RP2 and RP3 route processors, ESP40, ESP100, ESP100-X and ESP200 forwarding engines, SIP40 and MIP100 carrier cards, the 2T+20X1GE and 6TGE line cards, and existing Cisco SPAs and EPAs. Software and feature licences are ordered separately, with Cisco DNA subscription and Smart Licensing supported.
