Description

The ASR 1002-X is part of the ASR 1000 Series of aggregation services routers, built for WAN and enterprise edge aggregation where IPsec VPN and firewall services are needed on the same platform.

This SKU is the security bundle variant. It pairs the ASR1002-X chassis, with 6 built-in Gigabit Ethernet ports, dual power supplies and 4GB DRAM, with a 10 Gbps system throughput tier. The bundle includes the VPN and firewall licence set with the K9 (crypto) software image and AES licence, so encrypted tunnels and stateful firewalling are covered by a single part number rather than separate licence orders.

The 10G throughput tier and the K9 AES security bundle are what set this SKU apart from other ASR 1002-X bundles, which are offered at different throughput levels and without the security feature set.
