Description

The Cisco ASR 920 Series ASR-920U-12SZ-IM is a fixed-configuration, temperature-hardened 1RU aggregation router built for mobile backhaul and Carrier Ethernet access. It suits macro and small-cell cell sites, Metro Ethernet access, broadband access and small aggregation sites or central offices, and fits ETSI 300 mm deep cabinets.

The chassis provides 12 x 1GE ports (8 x 10/100/1000 copper RJ45 with PoE and 4 x 1GE SFP) plus 4 x 1G/10G dual-rate SFP+ ports, and one interface module slot for TDM or Ethernet modules. System throughput is 60 Gbps and 95 Mpps. A built-in GNSS receiver with 1PPS, 10 MHz and ToD timing ports, SyncE and IEEE-1588 lets it act as a grandmaster clock for small-cell timing. Operating temperature is -40 to 70 C. It uses Cisco IOS XE with port-based licences that activate additional 1GE and 10GE interfaces as capacity grows.

Two hot-swap power supply bays accept A920-PWR400-A (AC) or A920-PWR400-D (DC) modules in 1+1 redundancy. Supported interface modules include A900-IMA8T, A900-IMA8S, A900-IMA8D, A900-IMA16D, A900-IMA32D, A900-IMA1X, A900-IMA8T1Z, A900-IMA8S1Z, A900-IMA2Z and A900-IMA4OS. Rack-mount kits A920-RCKMT-ETSI, A920-RCKMT-19 and A920-RCKMT-23 are available.
