Description

The Cisco ASR 920 Series is a compact, temperature-hardened 1RU converged access router designed for mobile backhaul, Metro Ethernet and business services. This DC-powered, fanless model suits small and sealed outdoor cabinets, remote sites and carrier access deployments where passive cooling is an advantage.

This SKU provides 8 x 1GbE SFP ports and 4 x 10GbE SFP+ ports in a fixed 1RU chassis. The DC power variant accepts a -19.2V to -72V DC input range, with nominal -24V to -48V DC. Timing support includes SyncE and IEEE 1588, with BITS, 1PPS and ToD interfaces, for mobile RAN synchronisation. Capacity is enabled on a pay-as-you-grow licensing basis.

It runs Cisco IOS XE with MPLS, L2VPN and L3VPN, VPLS and H-VPLS, and Carrier Ethernet with hierarchical QoS. It works with Cisco FE and GE SFPs, CWDM and DWDM optics, and 10G SFP+ optics including SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, SFP-10G-ER and SFP-10G-ZR.
