Description

The ASR 920 is a compact, temperature-hardened Carrier Ethernet aggregation router for mobile backhaul, business and metro Ethernet access, and MPLS VPN services delivered from the access layer. This ASR-920-4SZ-A is the AC model with 2GE and 4-10GE ports, suited to remote sites, small central offices and ETSI 300 mm cabinets.

It provides 2 x Gigabit Ethernet and 4 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP/SFP+ ports in a 1RU fixed chassis with front-to-back airflow. Two built-in AC power supplies accept 85 to 264V AC at 47 to 63 Hz, with a typical draw of 75 W and a maximum of 105 W. Operating temperature runs from -40 to +70 C depending on altitude. Port capacity and features such as MPLS are activated on demand through pay-as-you-grow licensing, and the router runs Cisco IOS XE Software.

Integrated timing covers BITS, 1PPS, ToD, SyncE and IEEE 1588-2008 for RAN aggregation. It supports a wide range of Cisco SFP and SFP+ optics, including SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, GLC-SX-MMD and SFP-H10GB-CUxM direct attach cables. Rack-mount kits A920-RCKMT-ETSI, A920-RCKMT-19 and A920-RCKMT-23 are available.
