Description

The ASR 920 is a temperature-hardened, 1RU converged access router built for mobile backhaul, Metro Ethernet and business service delivery. It runs Cisco IOS XE and suits small aggregation sites, broadband access such as IPTV and VoD, and MPLS-based L2VPN and L3VPN services.

This ASR-920-24TZ-M variant provides 24 x Gigabit Ethernet copper RJ-45 ports and 4 x 10GE SFP+ ports, with modular power supplies in AC or DC options. The Cisco Carrier Ethernet ASIC supports hierarchical QoS, while integrated BITS, 1PPS and ToD interfaces, Synchronous Ethernet and IEEE 1588 handle network timing. The family operates from -40C to +70C, which allows deployment in outdoor cabinets. Features and ports are enabled through a pay-as-you-grow licensing model.

The SFP+ ports accept optics such as SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, SFP-10G-ER, SFP-10G-ZR and SFP-10G-LRM, along with SFP-H10GB-CUxM cables. Rack mount kits A920-RCKMT-ETSI, A920-RCKMT-19 and A920-RCKMT-23 cover ETSI, 19-inch and 23-inch racks.
