Description

The ASR 920 is a temperature-hardened, 1RU compact aggregation services router built for mobile backhaul, Carrier Ethernet access and business services. This model suits service providers and network operators deploying in remote, space-constrained or small outdoor cabinet locations.

This SKU provides 24x 1G SFP ports and 4x 10G SFP+ ports, with one interface module slot for additional port options and modular power supplies. It runs Cisco IOS XE Software and uses a pay-as-you-grow licensing model to activate additional 1G and 10G ports and features such as MPLS. Timing support includes BITS, 1PPS and ToD interfaces, SyncE and IEEE 1588 for mobile backhaul synchronisation.

SFP and SFP+ cages accept genuine Cisco Gigabit optics such as GLC-SX-MMD and GLC-LH-SMD, and 10G optics such as SFP-10G-SR and SFP-10G-LR. ETSI, 19-inch and 23-inch rack mounting kits are available for the series.
