Description

The Cisco ASR 920 Series is a compact 1RU, temperature-hardened carrier Ethernet aggregation router built for mobile backhaul, metro Ethernet and business access. It runs Cisco IOS XE and suits remote or space-constrained deployments, including small sealed outdoor cabinets and ETSI 300 mm deep cabinets.

This conformal-coated variant provides 12 x 1GE SFP ports, 4 x 10GE SFP+ uplink ports and one interface module (IM) slot, with modular power supplies. The chassis is front-to-back airflow and supports ETSI, 19-inch and 23-inch rack mounts. Built-in BITS, 1PPS and ToD timing interfaces, plus SyncE and IEEE 1588 support, make it suited to RAN aggregation with timing services. Port and feature activation is licence-based under a pay-as-you-grow model.

It works with a wide range of 1G and 10G SFP and SFP+ optics, including GLC-SX-MMD, GLC-LH-SMD, GLC-ZX-SMD, SFP-GE-T, SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, SFP-10G-ER, SFP-10G-ZR, BiDi, CWDM and DWDM modules, as well as SFP-H10GB-CU DAC cables.
