Description

The Cisco ASR 903 is a modular aggregation services router chassis from the ASR 900 Series. It is built for modular aggregation and cell-site or access aggregation deployments, where a single platform needs to support a range of interface modules.

The chassis is 3RU and supports dual Route Switch Processors in an active and hot-standby arrangement. Optional intrachassis hardware redundancy covers all hardware components, and software redundancy with In-Service Software Upgrade (ISSU) is available when a pair of Route Switch Processors is installed. The fully modular design lets you choose interface modules to suit each deployment.

It works with Cisco ASR 900 Route Switch Processors (RSP1B, RSP2A, RSP3C) and ASR 900 series interface modules, such as the 4-port OC3/STM1 or 1-port OC12/STM4 module.
