Description

The ASR 9010 is the 10-slot chassis in the Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers, built for carrier Ethernet and service provider access and aggregation networks. It suits L2VPN and L3VPN business services, IPTV, content delivery networks and mobile backhaul transport, and runs Cisco IOS XR Software.

This is the AC-powered, original (non-V2) power system version. It takes AC input of 200-240V, 50-60 Hz at 16A nominal, and works with A9K-3KW-AC and PWR-3KW-AC-V2 power supplies. The chassis is designed for no single point of failure, with fabric, power supply, route switch processor and software redundancy, and it uses a matched pair of A9K-RSP-4G or A9K-RSP-8G route switch processors.

The ASR 9010 shares route switch processors, line cards, power entry modules and power supplies with the ASR 9006 chassis. Supported line cards include the A9K-40GE, A9K-8T/4, A9K-4T, A9K-2T20GE and A9K-8T families, the A9K-16T/8-B, A9K-SIP-700, A9K-2x100GE, A9K-24x10GE, A9K-MOD80 and A9K-4T16GE cards.
