Description

The ASR 901S is a compact, IP65-rated, fanless aggregation router built for outdoor cell-site backhaul. It suits mobile operators and integrators deploying Cisco Unified RAN Backhaul at the cell site, with mounting on brackets, walls or lampposts.

This AC-powered variant provides three external 1GbE SFP ports, plus a gland interface that carries one internal SFP and two internal RJ45 copper ports. It includes one PoE+ (802.3at) port with 1 second holdover. Maximum power consumption is under 40 W without PoE+, and the enclosure operates across an ambient range of -40 to 65 C with passive cooling and no fan.

The ASR 901S supports Layer 2, Layer 3 and MPLS deployment models, along with Ethernet Virtual Connections using 802.1q and 802.1ad (QinQ). Carrier-grade OA&M tools include CFM, Y.1731 and Y.1564 compliance. External connectivity uses a sealed LC cabling system, and the alarm, management and console cable is routed through the gland.
