Description

The 8122-64EH-O is a fixed 2RU router from the Cisco 8100 Series, built on the Cisco Silicon One G200 ASIC. It is aimed at AI/ML front-end and back-end networks, hyperscale and traditional data centre fabrics, and high-density IP fabric leaf and spine deployments.

It provides 51.2 Tbps of bandwidth through 64 QSFP-DD800 ports running at 800G, with breakout to 128 x 400GbE. Port speeds from 800G down to 10G are supported, including breakout options such as 2x 400G, 8x 100G, 4x 100G, 2x 100G, 4x 25G and 4x 10G. An Intel 4-core 2.4-GHz CPU with 64 GB of DRAM handles control-plane tasks, and the ASIC uses 112G SerDes without HBM. The -O suffix identifies the Open software version, which runs the SONiC open-source network operating system. Cooling uses 4 fans in 3+1 redundancy, and the 2 power supplies run in 1+1 redundancy.

Supported optics include QSFP+, QSFP28, QSFP56-DD and QSFP-DD800. Management connectivity includes an RS-232 console, a 1G management port, a USB 2.0 port and 2x SFP28 telemetry ports.
