Description

The Cisco 8101-32H is a fixed-port, one-rack-unit router from the 8000 Series (8100 family), built for top-of-rack, high-density leaf and spine, and IP fabric roles in data centre and web-scale networks. It uses a single Cisco Silicon One Q200-generation ASIC in a Router-on-Chip design, with no HBM, to keep power draw low while still delivering full routing functionality.

The 32 x 100G QSFP28 ports provide 3.2 Tbps of bandwidth in a 1RU chassis. Typical system power at full bandwidth is 172 W, with a maximum of about 300 W. Two power supplies run in N+1 redundancy alongside redundant fan trays, and the chassis measures 4.40 x 43.9 x 49.1 cm. The 8100 family supports flexible port speeds and breakout cables, and the 8101-32H accepts QSFP28 100G optics and breakout cabling. Operating temperature is 0 to 40 C.
