Description

The Aruba 9100 Series 9106 is a compact desktop hybrid gateway for large branch offices and small campus sites. It can be deployed as an SD-Branch gateway, a cloud-based wireless gateway or a VPN concentrator, and it is managed through HPE Aruba Networking Central using the cloud-native AOS-10 architecture.

This AC powered, non-TAA 9106 provides two 10GbE SFP+ ports, two 1GbE combo SFP/copper ports and two 1GbE PoE ports sharing a 60W PoE budget. Firewall throughput is 10 Gbps, with 10 Gbps of encrypted throughput for GRE, AES-CBC and AES-GCM. It scales to 2K access points, 8K clients and 16K concurrent IPsec tunnels, with AOS-10 clusters of up to 6 gateways.

It works with Aruba 10G SFP+ transceivers such as J9150D (SR, 300m), J9151E (LR, 10km), J9152D (LRM) and J9153D (ER, 40km), and accepts 1G SFP transceivers in the combo ports. Running AOS-10 requires an Aruba Central subscription, in Foundation, Advanced or Security-enhanced tiers.
