Description

The Arista 7050X2 DCS-7050SX2-72Q-R is a 1RU fixed-configuration data centre leaf switch built for 10GbE server access with 40GbE uplinks. It suits top-of-rack deployments in data centre, cloud, big data and virtualised networks, and fits two-tier leaf/spine designs.

It provides 48 SFP+ ports running at 1/10GbE and 6 QSFP+ 40GbE ports, with wire-speed Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding at 1.44 Tbps and 1080 Mpps. Latency is from 550 ns, with a 16MB packet buffer using Dynamic Buffer Allocation. This SKU has rear-to-front airflow and ships with 2 hot-swap AC power supplies in a 1+1 redundant arrangement and 2 C13-C14 cords, plus 4 hot-swap N+1 fans. Typical power draw is 127W, with a 251W maximum. It runs Arista EOS and sits in EOS Feature License Group 2, with optional licences such as LIC-FIX-2-E for enhanced Layer 3 routing available separately.

The QSFP+ ports accept 40GBASE-SR4, XSR4, LR4, ER4, CR4 and AOC, as well as QSFP+ to 4x SFP+ breakout. The SFP+ ports accept 10GBASE-CR, AOC, SR, LR, ER, ZR and DWDM, 1GbE SX/LX and 100/1000BASE-T. Spare PSUs are PWR-500AC-R and spare fans are FAN-7000-R.
