Description

The Arista 7020R is a 1RU data centre switch for high-density, cloud and virtualised environments, as well as big data, media and video streaming deployments where a deep buffer helps absorb microbursts. It runs Arista EOS and is managed with CloudVision.

This SKU provides 48 x 100/1000 Mb RJ45 ports and 6 x 1/10GbE SFP+ uplinks, with 216 Gbps of throughput and 162 Mpps forwarding. A 3 GB fully shared packet buffer with virtual output queues avoids head-of-line blocking, and latency starts from 3.8 microseconds. It is configured with front-to-rear airflow and 2 x AC power supplies in a 1+1 redundant arrangement, so it suits racks where cold-aisle air enters at the front. Typical power draw is 105 W, with a maximum of 115 W.

The SFP+ ports accept 10GBASE-CR, AOC, SR, LR, ER, ZR and DWDM optics as well as 1GbE SX/LX modules. Replacement fans use FAN-7000-F/R and power supplies use PWR-500AC. Optional EOS feature licences are available for routing, VXLAN and EVPN.

A: Optional EOS feature licences for the 7020TR-48 are LIC-FIX-G-E (Enhanced: OSPF, BGP, ISIS, PIM), LIC-FIX-G-V2 (Extensions, Security and Partner Integration), LIC-FIX-G-FLX-L (FLX-Lite, EVPN, VXLAN) and LIC-FIX-G-FLX (FLX, EVPN, VXLAN). The minimum EOS release is 4.18.3.
