Description

This Cisco UCS 8TB 2.5-inch enterprise NVMe solid-state drive is the blade server (UCSB) variant of Cisco's UCS NVMe storage family. It is built for local, high-performance storage inside Cisco UCS B-Series blade servers, where workloads need low latency and high IOPS.

The drive offers 8TB of capacity in a 2.5-inch small form factor (SFF) hot-swap carrier and connects over NVMe on PCIe. It is the 8TB, 2.5in NVMe, blade PID, which separates it from the rack server (C-Series) versions of Cisco's NVMe drives.

It is intended for Cisco UCS B-Series blade servers and can be managed through Cisco UCS Manager or Cisco IMC. Western Digital and Intel NVMe drives cannot be mixed in the same server, so keep a single drive vendor family per blade.
