Description

This 7.6TB E3.S 1T NVMe solid-state drive is built for Cisco UCS X-Series compute nodes. It is a hot-swappable EDSFF drive aimed at local high-performance storage in UCS X210c M8 nodes, including HCI and vSAN configurations.

The drive uses a PCIe Gen5 NVMe interface and sits in the high-performance, medium-endurance (1X) class. It is based on the KCD8XPJE drive model with the SIE SCEF security option, and the same 1X family also covers 1.9TB, 3.8TB and 15.3TB capacities, so this SKU is the 7.6TB option.

It is a listed drive option for the UCS X210c M8 compute node and requires the UCSX-X10C-PTE3 E3.S pass-through controller in the front mezzanine slot. Up to nine E3.S drives are supported per X210c M8 node, and E3.S drives cannot be mixed with 2.5in SATA, SAS or U.3 drives in the same node. UCSC-E3S1T-F blanks fill any unpopulated E3.S slots. Power is supplied by the compute node and front mezzanine, so no separate power supply is needed.
