Description

This 6.4TB NVMe solid state drive is built for Cisco UCS X-Series M8 compute nodes. It uses the compact EDSFF E3.S 1T form factor with a PCIe Gen5 x4 interface and is based on the PM1745 high performance, high endurance design, making it a strong fit for write-heavy local storage in databases, virtualisation, AI and analytics workloads, and vSAN all-NVMe capacity tiers.

The drive is rated in the 3X DWPD endurance class and supports TCG Opal self-encryption for hardware-based data-at-rest security. It is hot-swappable from the front mezzanine of the compute node and draws power from the host node, so no separate power supply is needed. A UCS X210c M8 node can hold up to 9 E3.S drives.

This drive works with the Cisco UCS X210c M8 and X215c M8 compute nodes and requires the UCSX-X10C-PTE3 E3.S pass-through front mezzanine controller. E3.S drives cannot be mixed with 2.5in SAS, SATA or U.3 drives in the same node. It is also listed for the Cisco Compute Hyperconverged HCIXVS210C M8 and HCIVS240C M8 E3.S vSAN ReadyNodes.
