Description

This 3.2TB EDSFF E3.S 1T NVMe solid-state drive is built for Cisco UCS X-Series modular compute nodes. It is a high-performance, high-endurance drive based on the Kioxia KCD8XPJE, suited to write-intensive local storage in data centres and remote sites.

The drive uses a PCIe Gen5 NVMe interface and carries a high-endurance rating of 3X DWPD (drive writes per day). It is hot-pluggable and is supplied mounted in a sled, so it can be added or replaced without taking the compute node out of service.

It is listed as an E3.S drive option for the Cisco UCS X210c M8 Compute Node. It requires the UCSX-X10C-PTE3 front mezzanine pass-through controller for E3.S, which supports up to 9 E3.S drives per node. E3.S drives cannot be mixed with 2.5in SATA, SAS or U.3 drives, and empty E3.S slots need UCSC-E3S1T-F blanking fillers.
