Description

This 15.3 TB E3.S NVMe solid state drive is built for Cisco UCS X-Series compute nodes. It is a hot-swappable, high-performance drive from the KCD8XPJE model family, aimed at all-NVMe storage in UCS X210c-class nodes, including vSAN ReadyNode and hyperconverged deployments.

The drive uses the E3.S (1T) form factor with a PCIe Gen5 NVMe interface and a medium-endurance (1X) rating. It is the SIE/SCEF security variant, not the TCG OPAL variant, which distinguishes it from the 15.3 TB PM1743 option in the same range. Capacity is 15.3 TB per drive.

The drive requires the UCSX-X10C-PTE3 UCS X10c Compute Pass Through Controller for E3.S (Front), which supports a maximum of 9 E3.S drives. E3.S drives cannot be mixed with 2.5 inch SATA, SAS or U.3 drives in the same node. It is listed in the Cisco Compute Hyperconverged HCIXVS210c M8 All-NVMe vSAN ReadyNode configuration, where it is not supported for the Memory Tier.
