Description

This 480GB 2.5-inch SATA solid-state drive is a front-bay storage option for Cisco UCS B-Series blade servers. Built on the Solidigm S4520 platform in the Enterprise Performance class, it suits boot and local storage in enterprise virtualisation and data-centre workloads that need read-intensive, low-endurance SATA SSDs.

The drive uses a SATA 6Gb/s interface in a 2.5-inch, 15mm form factor, and Cisco lists its endurance class as 1X DWPD (one drive write per day). It draws power from the blade server through the front mezzanine drive bay, so no separate power supply is needed.
