Description

The UCS C880A M8 DC-SCM module is the Datacenter Secure Control Module for the Cisco UCS C880A M8 GPU rack server, in the NVIDIA GPU, 6th Gen Intel Xeon CPU configuration. It hosts the server's baseboard management controller and the management and front-panel I/O, and sits in the CPU tray. It suits data-centre teams running dense AI and HPC deployments such as deep learning and LLM training, model fine-tuning, large model inferencing and RAG.

The module provides a dedicated 1GbE RJ45 host BMC port and a separate 1GbE onboard NIC with RJ45. Local service I/O includes a USB 3.2 Gen1x1 Type-A port, a Mini DisplayPort and a micro-USB debug port, plus physical Power, ID and Reset buttons. Management support covers IPMI 2.0, KVM with dedicated LAN and a watchdog. The module draws power from the host server and has no standalone power rating. The spare part number is UCSAI-880A-DCSCM=.

It is for use only in the Cisco UCS C880A M8 Rack Server, which pairs 8x NVIDIA HGX B300 GPUs with two 6th Gen Intel Xeon processors. The module itself carries no licence.
