Description

This 960GB 2.5-inch SATA solid state drive is built for Cisco UCS servers, in the Enterprise Performance class. It suits mixed-use and write-intensive server storage in UCS rack and blade servers, such as virtualisation hosts, databases and caching tiers.

The drive uses a 6Gb/s SATA interface in a 2.5-inch small form factor and carries a 3X endurance rating, around three drive writes per day. It is a hot-swappable drive option for supported UCS C-Series and B-Series servers. No licence or subscription is required, and the drive is powered from the server drive backplane.

It is listed as an orderable drive in the Cisco UCS B200 M5 blade server spec sheet, and it is the replacement for the earlier UCS-SD960GMB3X-EP. It is intended to sit behind a supported RAID controller or HBA in a UCS server.
