Description

The UCS-NVE16T4S1P is a 6.4TB EDSFF E3.S 1T NVMe solid state drive from the Cisco UCS NVMe drive range, based on the Samsung PM1745 family. It is built for high-performance, write-intensive storage in Cisco UCS servers, such as databases, virtualisation and analytics workloads.

The drive uses a PCI Express 5.0 (Gen5) NVMe interface and sits in the High Performance, High Endurance class, carrying the Cisco 3X (3 drive writes per day) designation. It supports TCG OPAL self-encryption, which suits environments that need data-at-rest protection. The E3.S 1T form factor is a hot-pluggable EDSFF design, so it is a different drive from the 2.5-inch U.2 and U.3 NVMe options in the same range.
