Description

This 1.9 TB solid state drive is a PCIe Gen5 NVMe drive in the EDSFF E3.S 1T form factor, built for Cisco UCS X-Series compute nodes and Cisco Compute Hyperconverged all-NVMe nodes. It suits buyers who need hot-swappable NVMe capacity storage with Gen5 performance at a medium endurance rating.

The drive uses the KIOXIA KCD8XPJE platform in the high-performance, medium-endurance class, rated at 1X DWPD (one drive write per day). The SIE SCEF security option is part of the model code. The drive is hot-swappable and is powered from the host server backplane or mezzanine, so no separate power supply is needed.

It is supported in the Cisco UCS X210c M8 Compute Node through the UCSX-X10C-PTE3 E3.S pass-through front mezzanine, which takes up to 9 E3.S drives. E3.S drives cannot be mixed with 2.5-inch SATA, SAS or U.3 drives in the same node. It is also listed as a capacity drive in the Cisco Compute Hyperconverged HCIXVS210c M8 All-NVMe vSAN ReadyNode.
