Description

This 1.6 TB E3.S 1T NVMe solid state drive is built on the Samsung PM1745 and is part of the Cisco UCS NVMe E3.S SSD range. It is a high-performance, high-endurance PCIe Gen5 drive aimed at write-intensive workloads in Cisco UCS M8 rack and modular servers, as well as HCI and vSAN nodes.

The drive uses the EDSFF E3.S 1T form factor with an NVMe interface over PCIe Gen5, in the 3X speed class. It supports TCG OPAL self-encryption for drive-level data protection, and it is a hot-swappable front drive bay option. It draws power directly from the host server drive bay, so no separate power supply is needed. The Cisco PID description is 1.6TB E3.S1T PM1745 HgPerf HgEnd Gen5 3X NVMe (TCG OPAL).
