Description

This 15.3TB NVMe solid state drive is built for Cisco UCS servers that support the EDSFF E3.S form factor. It is a high performance, medium endurance (1X) PCIe Gen5 drive, suited to read-intensive and mixed-workload storage in Cisco UCS rack and modular servers.

The drive is based on the PM1743 and has a capacity of 15.3TB in the E3.S 1T size. It uses an NVMe interface over PCI Express 5.0 and supports TCG Opal self-encryption, so data at rest can be protected without a separate encryption layer.

It is intended for Cisco UCS M8 servers with E3.S NVMe support. On the UCS X210c M8 compute node, E3.S drives are fitted through the UCSX-X10C-PTE3 E3.S pass-through front mezzanine controller, and E3.S drives cannot be mixed with 2.5-inch drives in that configuration.
