Description

This 12.8 TB E3.S 1T NVMe solid state drive is built for Cisco UCS M8 rack servers and Cisco Compute Hyperconverged nodes. It is based on the PM1745 and is designed for high-performance, write-intensive all-NVMe storage, including vSAN ReadyNode deployments and memory tiering.

The drive uses a PCIe Gen5 NVMe interface in the hot-pluggable E3.S 1T EDSFF form factor and is supplied mounted in a drive sled. It sits in the High Performance, High Endurance tier at the 3X (3 DWPD class) rating, which suits sustained write workloads. TCG Opal self-encryption support makes it suitable where drive-level data protection is required. Memory Tier support is available in Cisco Compute Hyperconverged configurations.

It is an orderable drive for the UCS C240 M8 E3.S 32-drive backplane and draws power from the host server backplane, so no separate power supply is needed. The UCSX- prefixed sibling PIDs are the versions used in UCS X-Series compute nodes such as the X210c M8.
