Description

This 650W DC power supply is the primary power module for the Cisco VG420 Analog Voice Gateway. It suits DC-powered sites such as telco or central-office style deployments, where the high-density VG420 connects analog phones, fax machines and FXO lines to IP telephony and a -48V DC feed is available.

The module takes a nominal -48V DC input through a terminal block with positive, negative and ground lead wires. 14 AWG insulated wire is recommended, with approximately 10 mm (0.39 in) of insulation stripped. It has a status LED, a handle and a latch, and can be paired with a second supply for power redundancy. In a redundant configuration it can be replaced while the gateway stays in service.

It fits the VG420-144FXS, VG420-132FXS/6FXO and VG420-84FXS/6FXO gateways. This SKU is the primary supply. The secondary supply is PWR-VG420-650WDC2 and the spare is PWR-VG420-650WDC=. AC alternatives are PWR-VG420-650WAC and PWR-VG420-650WAC2.
