Description

The IE3500H is a ruggedised, IP66/IP67-rated heavy-duty industrial Ethernet switch from the Cisco IE3500 Heavy Duty series. It is built for harsh operational technology environments such as rail, transport, automotive and outdoor machinery deployments where dust- and water-proof switching is required. It also suits machine vision, IP cameras, PLCs and wireless access point connectivity, with secure OT segmentation and visibility.

This model provides 16 x 10/100/1000 X-code M12 Ethernet ports with line-rate forwarding on all ports for all packet sizes. It is a non-PoE unit, powered from a single 12-48 VDC mini-change input with typical consumption of 41 W. It operates from -40 to +75 C with 200 LFM airflow, carries UL 50E Type 4X protection, and supports 8 queues and 24,000 unicast MAC addresses. It includes the perpetual Network Essentials licence, the base software tier. Network Advantage is the higher tier and adds routing protocols such as BGP, ISIS and EIGRP.

The switch has no SFP ports and does not support PRP, HSR or DLR lossless redundancy, which are available on the IE3505H variants. Management is via the on-device WebUI or CLI, NETCONF, RESTCONF, or Cisco Catalyst Center.
