Description

The Cisco IE3500 Heavy Duty (IE3500H) is a dustproof and waterproof industrial Ethernet switch built for harsh operational technology environments. It is designed for factory automation and machine vision, rail and transportation, utilities and other wet, dusty or outdoor deployments, where it connects PLCs, IP cameras and industrial devices over rugged M12 connectors.

This model provides eight 10/100/1000 X-coded M12 Ethernet ports and is a non-PoE unit with no PoE budget. It carries IP66/IP67 and UL 50E Type 4X ratings, runs from a 12-48 VDC Mini-Change power input and operates from -40 to +75 C with 200 LFM airflow. It ships with the perpetual Network Essentials licence, which includes MACsec-128 and Layer 3 routing, and runs IOS XE with IOx application hosting for tools such as Cisco Cyber Vision, Secure Equipment Access and the ThousandEyes Enterprise Agent.

The switch has no SFP ports. Optional accessories include the SD-IE-16GB SD card, the CAB-CONSOLE-M12= console cable and the IE3500-NW-A= Network Advantage licence upgrade. It can be managed through Catalyst Center and supports SD-Access as an Extended Node.
