Description

The Aruba Tags BLE Asset Tracking Beacon is a small Bluetooth Low Energy tag for locating valuable physical assets indoors and outdoors. It suits healthcare, retail, warehousing and similar environments where equipment needs to be found quickly. This SKU is a 50-pack of battery-powered beacons.

Each tag uses Bluetooth 4.0 LE and is powered by a non-replaceable coin cell battery that is built in, with an estimated battery life of 24 months. Estimated power consumption is 45.42 mA-h. Each beacon is white and measures 0.4 in high by 1.4 in wide, and weighs 0.35 oz. Usable range depends on the physical environment, because the 2.4 GHz signal can be diffracted, interfered with or absorbed by metal, wood or water.

The beacons work with the Aruba Meridian platform and report their location through BLE-enabled Aruba access points. Because they use the existing access point infrastructure, no dedicated readers or observers are needed.
