Description

The IP Phone 8832 is a SIP conference phone with wideband G.722 audio, built for large meeting rooms and executive offices. This white base unit is the APAC, EMEA, Australia and New Zealand variant and provides 360-degree room coverage for up to 10 participants, expandable with wired or wireless DECT extension microphones. It powers over PoE and includes a 3.9-inch colour LCD, a central mute key with LED status indicator and enterprise security features such as secure boot and 802.1X.

Q: How many participants does the 8832 cover?
A: The base unit covers a 20x20 ft room and up to 10 participants. A wired expansion mic kit extends coverage to up to 22 participants, and the wireless DECT kit to up to 26 participants.

Q: How is the phone powered?
A: It uses IEEE PoE Class 3, compatible with 802.3af and 802.3at, via an Ethernet injector. A Wi-Fi deployment option is also available using the 8832 Power Adapter.

Q: Does it require a licence to connect to Cisco UCM?
A: Yes. An Enhanced User Connect License is required to connect to Cisco UCM. The phone is natively supported in UCM 12.0(1), while UCM 10.5.2, 11.0 and 11.5 need a DevPack.

A: Yes. Two 8832 units daisy-chained with the wireless extension microphone kit cover up to 42 participants in a 20x57 ft room.
