Description

The LinkX MCA4J80-N004 is a 4 m active copper cable that links two twin-port OSFP ports for InfiniBand NDR. It is built for switch-to-switch connections between Quantum-2 InfiniBand switches in AI and HPC fabrics, and for links to DGX-H100 systems where the port type matches.

Each end carries a twin-port OSFP connector, giving 2x400Gb/s (800Gb/s aggregate) over 8 channels of 100G PAM4. An equaliser chip in each connector extends copper reach to 4 m, with a maximum of 1.5 W per end from a single 3.3V supply. The cable uses 30AWG conductors at this length and an LSZH jacket, and operates at case temperatures from 0 to +70 C.

It works with NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand (NDR) switches and Spectrum-4 Ethernet switches with twin-port OSFP cages. The attached switch selects InfiniBand or Ethernet operation automatically, and the cable is hot pluggable.
