Description

This Cisco multi-fiber patchcord is a fan-out cable with a single MPO connector at one end that breaks out to eight individual LC connectors at the other. It is part of the Cisco Network Convergence System (NCS) 2000 Series and ONS 15454 optical cable range, and is used in optical transport and DWDM deployments where an MPO-terminated port or module needs to connect to separate LC fibre links.

The cable is 2 m long (about 7.5 ft) and uses MPO to 8x LC termination. It is a passive component, so no power is required. Cisco also offers the same cable family in 2 m, 4 m, 6 m and 8 m lengths, so the 2 m version suits short runs within a rack or between adjacent equipment.

It is designed for Cisco ONS 15454 and NCS 2000 Series optical platforms, and is listed alongside the NCS 2000 MPO to 8x LC fan-out unit and other MPO passive components.
