Description

Dual-port 100GbE network interface card built on the Intel Ethernet Controller E835, with two QSFP28 ports and a PCIe Gen5 x8 or Gen4 x16 host interface. It is a low-power Intel 800 Series adapter suited to data centre and edge connectivity in Cisco UCS XE-Series (Unified Edge) servers. Support for RoCEv2 and iWARP RDMA, SR-IOV and flexible port partitioning makes it a good fit for virtualised, storage and low-latency workloads.

Enquire with XS Network Tech for new or used pricing and availability.

FAQs

Q: What host interface does this NIC use?
A: It uses PCIe 5.0 x8 or PCIe 4.0 x16, so it can be installed in either a Gen5 x8 or a Gen4 x16 slot.

Q: What cabling and optics can be used with the QSFP28 ports?
A: The two QSFP28 ports support DAC cables, optical transceivers and AOC cables, with data rates from 10GbE up to 100GbE per port as supported by the module or cable fitted.

Q: Does this adapter support RDMA?
A: Yes. It supports both RoCEv2 and iWARP RDMA, and the two protocols can run concurrently.

Q: Is it suitable for virtualised environments?
A: Yes. It supports Intel VT-c, VMDq and SR-IOV along with flexible port partitioning, which helps allocate bandwidth across virtual machines.

Q: Which brackets are available?
A: The adapter supports both low profile and full height brackets for different chassis and slot configurations.
