Description

The Wireless 9172H is the wall plate variant of Cisco's Wi-Fi 7 9172 series. It is an indoor access point with omnidirectional antennas and LAN ports for wired connections, designed to be mounted on a wall. That makes it well suited to rooms where the access point also needs to provide wired connectivity, such as hospitality, student housing and healthcare rooms.

This SKU is the tri-band version with three radios in a 2x2 configuration, built for the Global (-RTG) regulatory domain. It supports Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) features including 4K QAM, 320 MHz channel width, Multi-Link Operation, Preamble Puncturing and Multi-RU. It handles 256 clients per radio, and includes a dedicated 2.4 GHz IoT radio and a dedicated scanning radio.

The CW9172H runs on Cisco IOS XE 17.17.1 or later, so confirm your wireless controller software meets that requirement before deployment.
