Description

The 8808 is an 8-slot, 16 RU modular router chassis from the Cisco 8800 Series, built on Cisco Silicon One for carrier-grade core and aggregation deployments. It provides up to 115.2 Tbps of system bandwidth with redundant route processors and switch fabric, and accepts 100GbE and 400GbE line cards. The 8-slot design sits between the 4-slot 8804 and the 12-slot 8812 and 18-slot 8818 chassis, giving service providers and large data centres a scalable, hot-swappable platform.
